The inter-American system for the promotion and protection of human rights which includes a commission and a court, has tremendous potential to make women's. After discussing the structure of the Inter-American Human Rights system and its development over time, it discusses a series of cases studies that show how different iterations of the hard regional human rights instruments have been used to promote social change.
